This life you’re living right now, you chose it. You want what’s in it, who’s in it, and where you are right now. I know it’s hard to believe and accept that you chose your life and everything that’s in it. But, if you want to live a better life, you need to begin there. You need to begin by believing and accepting that you are the only one responsible for the life you’re living. Trust me, once you accept it, your life will become more meaningful, more satisfying, more exciting, and more joyful. Your life and what’s in it You choose your life by allowing what’s in it. The circumstances and people that are currently in your life are there because you are allowing it. You allow things and people in your life through the decisions you make. All the decisions you’ve made so far have taken you here. Decisions that have been carefully made, or decisions that have been carelessly and unconsciously made, have all taken you to where you are right now. If you’re happy with your life, I congratulate you for being present in it. If you’re not that happy with your life, the decisions you make from now on have to be more conscious and with purpose. This means that you need to begin paying more attention to each decision you make. You’re always choosing You’re always making choices. Some of them are not that significant, such as what pen to use to write, what side of the bed to sleep, or what cup to use to drink coffee. Some others are a bit more significant such as what to eat, how to spend your money, and what TV shows to watch. There are still some more significant and important choices we make such as what people to allow in to our lives, what places to go to, and what conversations to be a part of. There are even more crucial choices that change your life completely, such as career, marriage, and large expenses, but those are reached after you have made several less significant choices. If you pay attention to the less significant choices, the more crucial choices will be more wise and rewarding. Be responsible and take control of your life I would say that the majority of people believe that they didn’t choose their lives, much less feel that they’re in control of it. They believe that they don’t choose what happens to them, but I believe that’s not completely true. You need to understand that this is your life and it’s yours to live it as you please. Not to please anything or anyone else, just to please you. So, begin making choices that truly please you, choices that make you feel good about yourself and about your life. You are the only one responsible for this life you are living. Stop depending on others to get the life you want. If you don’t like what’s in your life, change it. Just like many decisions got you to where you are now, begin making decisions to live a life that you like. A life that feels good to you. A life you’re happy and proud to live. Life is about choices. Some we regret, some we’re proud of, some will haunt us forever. The message: we are what we chose to be.” — Graham Brown There’s an awesome feeling of excitement when we know we’re in control of our lives. A feeling of excitement similar to what a child feels when she’s taken to the amusement park where she can choose her rides. Life is similar in that you can choose. You choose people, things, experiences all the time. So, from now on, choose responsibly and choose wisely. Now, tell me in the comments below, what are you going to choose? Did you like this post?
