You keep seeing and hearing everywhere that the world is getting worse. But what do they mean by the world? Who is the world? We need to stop pretending the world is someone out there not close to us when in reality the world is you and me.
The only way to make sure we have, and live, in a better world is if we become better human beings –kinder, calmer, and more patient; not only towards others but most importantly towards oneself.
That’s right. Every good change in the world begins with human kindness and human kindness begins with oneself. So, begin with you. Learn to be a kind and centered person and once you’re centered with who you truly are, then support others to do the same, especially those around you.
Peace on earth begins with you
Now, the first step to become a better, kinder and centered human being is to live with inner peace. When you live with inner peace you can then genuinely enjoy living in this world. And when you truly enjoy living in this world is when you help it be better.
When you don’t live with inner peace you make decisions that take you away from who you really are, and those decisions take you away from your own personal path. And you’re not going to find peace if you’re not on your own personal path.
To feel peace inside, begin by knowing, trusting and respecting yourself. When you’re mad at yourself, you’re mad at everyone. But when you’re happy and love yourself, you’re happy towards everyone and in love with everyone.
The reason you can be in love with everyone is because you can clearly see deep into their being who they really are and all the potential they have within themselves. The same I see in you. I see that you can be that perfect peaceful and loving being that you want to be, and the best thing of all is that you can be that person even if you don’t believe it right now.

Get your own answers
The reason you don’t believe you can be a peaceful and loving person is because the negative voices of the world are louder than your own inner voice.
But you can learn to listen to yourself again. Listen, pay attention and act from there. Don’t know how to listen? Begin by doing these 7 simple steps.
At first you might feel you can’t do them, but you most definitely can because you’re wired for that. Just keep trying over and over again and you’ll get it, trust me.
I know that there are many things going on in your life but I want you to focus mostly on the things that are more pleasant in your life. Even if you only have one thing going well for you in your life, focus all your attention on that one thing. And stay feeling that good for as long as you can. Because it’s only when you feel good that you’re best able to hear the good answers you need.
But you can learn to listen to yourself again. Listen, pay attention and act from there. Don’t know how to listen? Begin by doing these 7 simple steps.
At first you might feel you can’t do them, but you most definitely can because you’re wired for that. Just keep trying over and over again and you’ll get it, trust me.
- Sit down in a quiet place. You don’t have to do anything fancy or weird. Just sit down in a position that is comfortable for you. The goal is that your body is not distracting your mind and thoughts. Just make sure you don’t lean your head against anything otherwise you might fall asleep –there’s nothing wrong with that though.
- Relax your body. Relax your body as if you’re about to fall asleep. Close your eyes and begin directing your mind to every part of your body until each one of them feel relaxed. You can begin with your head all the way down to your feet or begin at your feet and go all the way up to your head. Don’t rush the process; take as much time as you need. It’s very likely you'll feel your body going to sleep while you’re awake, and that’s okay.
- Breathe deeply. Once you’re comfortably seated and relaxed, breathe slowly and deeply at least three times while you focus your attention on your breath. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. When you exhale, let your body release any tension it might still have so you can feel completely relaxed. By now you’re in a meditative state.
- Acknowledge your situation. Now that you’re relaxed, bring to your mind the situation or problem that is affecting your life, mind, emotions and body. Do not judge it and try to stay in your relaxed state. Just see it there in front of you; separate from you.
- Ask a question. Imagine a powerful being is right next to you and ask this being to help you see a solution for your situation. Then ask for guidance to make the right choices. You always get an answer. If you can’t hear it right in there, you might need to relax a bit more. If that doesn’t work, leave it for the moment but try again later if by then you haven’t gotten your answer. Now, many people miss the answer because they’re expecting something spectacular like angels playing trumpets coming down from heaven to give them the answer. That’s not how it works. The answer always comes in the same was as it usually comes, as an idea -as if a snippet of inspiration suddenly appeared in front of your mind's eye and you were able to see, feel and understand that image along with the message that came with it -and all of that happens in one instant.
- Trust the process. In order for you to get your answer to your question, you must trust the process. Trusting the process is similar to how you trust you’ll get your order when you purchase something online. You placed your order and you’re certain you’ll get it. Trust this process in the same way. You asked for help and guidance to solve your situation, and you’ll get it. All you need to do now is to trust that your situation will get solved. Don’t worry about the how, that’s not your problem just like how your online order is going to get to you is not your problem. You just “know” that you’re going to get it and you get it. In the same way, trust this process of getting your own answers and your own guidance because you’ll get them.
- Go about your life. When you’re done with your meditation time, come back to your your present and little by little let your body wake up. Now, go about your life while the people, circumstances, and all the necessary details get together to help you solve your problem. Similar to what you do after placing your online order; you continue living your life.

Let your goodness show
Once you’ve understood what you need to do to find your own answers you’ll be on your way to master the process. While you’re on this journey you’ll begin to feel better and better every time and others will be able to notice it.
And when others are noticing that in you, they will also want to feel that good. Similar to when someone is laughing and others around begin to laugh as well without even knowing what they’re laughing about. Well, that's because they also want to feel good.
We resonate energy from each other all the time because that’s how we’re made. So pay attention to how you feel and resonate good energy to the world.
Can you imagine if we were all slow to anger, rage, revenge, anxiety and hopelessness, and more aware and mindful of our positive human experience in this life? We would all learn to play this game of life in a more calmed and civilized way. This is what peace on earth would truly look like.
And when others are noticing that in you, they will also want to feel that good. Similar to when someone is laughing and others around begin to laugh as well without even knowing what they’re laughing about. Well, that's because they also want to feel good.
