Because of the strong feeling of disconnection we experience at times from Who we really are, we think and believe that heaven is a place far, far away from us. But, we're wrong. After going through my spiritual journey I learned and realized that heaven is not a far away place guarded with golden gates to which only a few have access to. Heaven is actually so much closer than we could ever imagine. Heaven is not a placeHeaven is not a place. Heaven is a feeling. Just like you cannot get to a place called Love, Joy or Freedom, you cannot get to a place called Heaven. You can feel Heaven on this world as the strongest feeling of alignment you have with your Spirit. That is correct. Heaven is the strong connection we have with who we really are; with our Source of Light. The stronger the connection with our Source, the stronger the feeling of being in heaven. The stronger the dis-connection from our Source, the stronger the feeling of not being in heaven. Or should I say, the strongest the dis-connection from our Source, the stronger the feeling of being in hell. If you are connected to your Soul, you know what to do. You know what directions and choices are aligned with your intention for being in this world. When you are off track from that intention, you feel terrible. Those terrible emotions are indicators in your body from your Soul trying to tell you that you’re off track. Those terrible emotions and feelings sometimes make us believe we are living in hell, and we are. Heaven and hell in this world are therefore emotional states of connection and disconnection, respectively, from who we really are; Spirit. Ask yourself whether the dream of heaven and greatness should be waiting for us in our graves - or whether it should be ours here and now and on this earth.” –Ayn Rand On Earth as it is in HeavenWhile you are in this world, do you want to live in heaven? Do you really want to live in Heaven? If so, changes need to be made. Don’t be afraid, you don’t have to make any drastic changes. All you need to do for now is to pay attention to the step by step guidance you are receiving from your Soul as often as possible. The reason I asked you twice if you really want to live in heaven is because some people are really comfortable feeling victims, feeling angry, feeling depressed. They might not know it consciously, but unconsciously they may be using their situation to control and manipulate others. Manipulation never feels good to the person who does it, nor to the person or persons feeling manipulated. If somebody doesn’t feel bad manipulating others, that only means that they are quite disconnected from their Spirit and are living in hell. Negative emotions don’t feel good. Not feeling good is not living in heaven. Choose to live in heaven by leaving all that drama behind. In heaven there’s freedom from needing to manipulate and control. When you feel good you don’t have a need to control anything nor anyone because your joy does not depend on anything or anyone. You joy depends on your perception, on what you feel, and on knowing who you really are. When we’re each aware of our own Magnificence, we don’t feel the need to control others, and we won’t allow ourselves to be controlled.” –Anita Moorjani Choose Heaven right now If you knew that every experience you have in life can be used to help you fulfill your mission for being here, you would realize you don’t have to spend so much time living in hell experiencing so many unnecessary negative emotions. Desiring to live a more positive life does not mean you will never have any other negative experiences in life; that is impossible. Those experiences are needed; they are part of this earth experience. Eventually we all go and spend some time in the negative emotions, but we don’t have to spend more time than necessary. By deciding and changing your perspective, you begin to move to the positive emotions and go back to feel better sooner. Taking care of you is always first and foremost. Just like in an airplane safety advice, take care of you before you begin taking care of others. Taking care of us first does not mean being selfish. Taking care of us first means preparing ourselves to help others. We need to teach this to everyone. First, we need to unlearn what we were taught, and then we need to teach others how to take care of themselves with our own example. Adults and children need to see more often that it is possible and okay to pay attention to ourselves first, to take care of ourselves first, to love ourselves more. Choose to live in heaven; heaven IS here. This world, this life, IS Heaven.” –CLI Do you believe heaven is here? Are you living in heaven right now? "Heaven is not a place. Heaven is a feeling." That says it all. And, yes, we choose heaven or hell through our thoughts, words and actions. This is all we need to remember. Thank you so much for this wisdom, Claudia.

Love this message Claudia! I've always felt that heaven is here within us and we can create heaven on earth with our thoughts, feelings, and choices. It's truly our perception that changes everything! <3

I do believe that Heaven is always here and has been for eternity! As a Catholic, I was raised to believe that it was only through being a "good girl" that I would ever arrive in Heaven after death. What I know NOW after years as a spiritual seeker, that that Heaven is a principle and a state of mind. My job is to choose only positive, loving thoughts that inspire and uplift. As always, you pose interesting ideas to ponder, Claudia.

I was also raised Catholic so I totally understand what you're saying. It is until we go out seeking our own truth, what resonates with each one of us, that we find our way, which usually leads to the same main road. Thank you for your comment Lore :)

Heaven is indeed here, with us, part of us, we can choose to see it and experience it or we can choose to forget it and feel "lost". I love your spiritual lessons Claudia, they resonate deep in my being.

Heaven is within. Sometimes it just takes us a while to get there. Lovely post.

It takes about the same time we're looking for it elsewhere outside of us, wasting time. We might as well start looking for it in the right place, don't you think? We need to teach this to all who are ready to hear it. Thank you Barb :)

I love this. It's interesting how we humans need to revisit and remind ourselves of these basic truths over and over again. Not only that, we seem to need to find all the ways possible to frame these truths. Hooray for your frame; it's love and simple.

I think it's because we were not taught to do this since childhood and because we get so caught up with what we see all day around us. Once we get to deeply know ourselves and our own truths, we will not need reminders anymore. I'm so glad you loved the post Sue. Thank you for letting me know ;)

That's the only way to achieve anything, by focusing on what you want or where you want to go. Getting out of despair is no different. I'm happy that you're better now, Tae. Thank you for your comment :)

Agreed- heaven & hell are simply states of mind/life/perceptions. I see our Earth as simply another room of our "home".

That's right Kellie, we're just in another room of our grand house. :)
