Just like our heart is always beating, our lungs are always breathing, our mind is always thinking. It’s up to us to decide which thoughts we want to pay attention to. You might say, but if I think a thought then it’s because that’s what I am. I do not agree with that. Thoughts are floating in the ether all the time and you’re able to see and hear them depending on how you feel.
So, I want you to educate your mind to only pay attention to those thoughts that feel good. You don’t have to accept a thought just because it’s there. Learn to pick and choose them.

Feelings are not bad. Feelings are just indicators of the thoughts we’re paying attention to. If we’re just paying attention to any thought that passes through you mind, then we’re very likely going to experience mixed, confused, and not so good feelings.
When that happens, because it will, just allow yourself to feel them. Don’t condemn them, don’t judge them, don’t suppress them. If you can interrupt a bad feeling, do so with a better feeling thought. If not, then allow yourself to feel them. According to Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, feelings usually take about 90 seconds to be processed by our bodies. It’s not that bad when you consider that not processing a feeling will stay in your body for most of your life.

Decisions coming from good feeling thoughts and ideas are empowered decisions. We make hundreds of decisions during the day, and I know it’s impossible to be conscious about all of them, so just try to pay attention to the most significant ones.
If you want positive results, make sure your decisions are the best feeling decisions you could feel at that moment. Decisions that will affect how you’d feel for a long period of time; decisions you can live with.
