We all carry at least one pain so strong in our hearts, that influenced so many of our choices and decisions that we made in our lives, and brought us to where we are today. But there comes a time when that pain has to go because the purpose has been completed and the pain is no longer needed. Time to heal has come. Thankfully there are so many emotional healing methods available to heal that pain. I’m writing about a few of them here, but first let me explain what is emotional healing and why you need it. What is Emotional Healing? Emotional healing is a branch of the energy healing practice and the main purpose is to remove pain from memories. The memory and the pain will no longer be stuck together. So when you remember the memory you will no longer feel pain because the pain will no longer be there. You will then be able to talk, if need be, about the memory and you will be fine. You will be healed. Memory and Pain Imagine you have two magnets. One magnet represents your memory and the other one represents the pain you experience when you think about that memory. The memory and the pain are stuck together and will remain that way until you are healed -when the magnets are separated. You will know you are healed when you think of that memory and no longer feel pain. You’ll know you are not healed when you think about that memory, or when something else happens in your current life that brings back the essence of that memory, and still hurts. Let me give you an example of what the essence of a memory is. Let’s say you had a very bad experience with your co-workers at work that made you feel that you were taking advantage of. Doesn’t matter if that’s what they did or not, nor if that was their intention or not, what matters is what you felt. You felt that feeling of being "taken advantage of" so strong that a memory of the event with the uncomfortable and painful feeling was stored somewhere in your body. An emotional “wound” has been made in the energy field of your body; a wound that feels to be in your heart. Now, every time you have a similar experience at that or any other job that resembles your past memory of being taken advantage of, you will feel the same uncomfortable and painful feeling. It will not be the same event, but it will be the same “essence” of the event that caused it and you are going to feel the same pain. It’s like the emotional wound in your energy body has been touched and it hurts again. Why do we need Emotional Healing? Now, think of an uncomfortable or painful experience that you still carry with you, the first memory that comes to mind. Don’t try to avoid the feeling; I want you to feel it because soon it will no longer be there if you go through emotional healing. Now, notice how long has that pain been there, how many decisions you’ve made based on that feeling. Remember the circumstances that usually made that pain come back again. What brings the essence of that experience back? What touches your emotional wound again? I just want you to recognize it and be aware of it. There is no need to hide it or push it back down in the memory box again. Let it out. Cry it out if you need to. Crying is healing too. Your pain has a purpose The first thing that brought the first hint of healing to me was to know that my pain was there for a reason. That I needed to experience and carry on with that pain throughout my life so some of the choices and decisions I’d make would take me to where I am today. My pain had a purpose! Your pain has a purpose! But when that pain gets you to a point where you can no longer move forward, the very same pain that kept you moving forward is now keeping you stuck, not being able to move ahead in life, then it’s time for it to go. You no longer need it; the purpose has been completed. This means it’s time to heal because you are ready to move on to a new stage in your life. Emotional Healing modalities I have found that one particular method is good for different things and but not one particular method is good for all things. That means that one method can help you to heal some emotional wounds and another method some other wounds. So, I recommend you to try all methods that you feel comfortable with. These are some of the methods I’ve tried and helped me heal. Even though I usually say I found them by “accident”, there are no accidents in this life. There’s always a purpose, and my purpose was to heal to move on to my next stage in life. My stage of writing, healing and teaching. Maybe it’s your time now. Make sure you do your research before visiting a healer and before spending your money. Also, remember that if you believe you suffer from mental illness, you might need the help of a professional practitioner or therapist. In this case see emotional healing as a complement only.
Now tell me, would you be willing to try Emotional Healing? If you have already, how did it help you? Let me know in the comments below. Did you like this post? The Healing Code was the first modality I learned about energy healing, but I just didn't connect with the method then. I've read very good reviews about it though. I will try it later, maybe it was not my time for it.Thank you for reminding me Suzie :) 6/15/2016 03:54:21 am
What an interesting field. I have never experienced any of these therapies, but I believe I will if I ever need to. Or is this something people do on regular basis?

Some people do it on a regular basis but it's something you do only if you think you need to. The good thing is that now you know about it and you know where to begin your research. 6/15/2016 04:04:23 am
What a wonderful collection of healing modalities and explanations of them. As a energy healer myself, this is a great article to share with my clients why emotional healing is so important in overall health and well-being. Great article Claudia <3

Thank you Debra! Yes, go ahead and share it with your clients :) I use all presented modalities but hands on healing (don't know it yet) and many more, for example the Sedona Method, Ho'oponopono, affirmations. They are all wonderful. As you said it's better to have more 'tools' in your toolbox to help you heal emotional pain. It keeps us stuck and unhappy. The beautiful thing is you can use most of them by yourself!

Yes, all emotional healing modalities are wonderful! The more we know about the better. I didn't know about the Sedona method... thank you for letting me know ;) 6/15/2016 06:04:46 am

Amazing isn't it?. Sometimes while we're in the middle of the pain it's hard to see how important our pain can be. But we need to learn to pay attention and see and feel beyond what we can actually feel and see at the moment. Everything has a purpose, even pain. Thank you Stacey.
I absolutely believe in this connection. This past week I did a body mapping exercise where I traced the part of me that has been hurting since I left my corporate job last fall. It is my elbow. I drew out the pain and journaled about it. I wrote letters of forgiveness to people that keep coming up in my dreams. I focus on radiating love rather than pain from my elbow. And guess what the pain has diminished to almost nothing in just a few short days!

Wow that's amazing! I've never hear about the body mapping exercise. I'll look it up for sure. Although it shouldn't surprise me because I know how energy works, it still does. I just believe emotional healing is amazing no matter what method you use. I'm so glad you were able to find healing Karen. 6/15/2016 07:55:21 am

That's right! You said so well. All emotions are needed for this life. Just like we don't fear feeling good, we shouldn't fear feeling bad. We should use it to understand what is going on on our lives instead. They are indicators only. The good thing is that we have free will and can use it to move out of an emotional state whenever we want to. Unfortunately not many people know that they have so much power. We need to keep writing about this Lea. Thank you for your comment ;) 6/15/2016 11:34:03 am
Hi Claudia, I definitely believe in emotional pain and healing and the mind/body connection. Thanks for so articulately sharing your wisdom on this important topic and the different healing modalities. Hugs, Pam

Although I'm a devotee of many woo-woo modalities, I have never yet had a healing where the issue didn't return. Makes me wonder just how attached I am to my skepticism.

Some methods work even if you don't believe in them as long as you have the hope to be healed. Maybe the purpose of your pain has not been completed yet. Best wishes Sue :) 6/15/2016 03:30:05 pm
